Music ministers are an important part of praise and worship as they lead the parish community through prayerful devotional music during Mass. There are different ways to be a part of this ministry such as a cantor, who leads the congregation in responses, Psalms, and sings or chants other portions of the Mass. Accompanists, organists, and other musicians are also needed for weekend Masses, special liturgies, and special occasions such as weddings and funerals.
